This page explains how to ask for personal data in AutoUncle CoDriver to be deleted. What to do depends on who you are.
If you use AutoUncle CoDriver at a dealership
Write to privacy@autouncle.com from the email address you use for AutoUncle CoDriver, and tell us which dealership you work for. We confirm what we hold about you and what we delete.
What you did in an opportunity, such as notes and messages you sent to customers, belongs to your dealership's records. We tell you if your dealership needs that part to stay, for example because the law requires it to keep it.
Disconnecting WhatsApp
If your dealership has connected its WhatsApp Business account to AutoUncle CoDriver, you can end that connection and have us delete the data Meta gave us:
- Remove AutoUncle CoDriver from your WhatsApp Business account in your Meta Business settings, or
- write to privacy@autouncle.com and tell us which dealership and WhatsApp number it is about.
We then delete the access token and the account link from AutoUncle CoDriver, apart from what we have to keep by law, such as invoices.
If you are a customer of a dealership
If you contacted a dealership and it used AutoUncle CoDriver to handle your enquiry, the dealership decides what happens to your data. AutoUncle handles it on the dealership's behalf. This covers your enquiry, the messages you exchanged by email, SMS, RCS or WhatsApp, and anything you entered on the dealership's deal page.
To have your data deleted:
- Ask the dealership you contacted. It can instruct us to delete your data.
- Or write to us at privacy@autouncle.com. We forward your request to the dealership and carry out what it instructs.
To help us find your data, tell us the dealership you contacted and the email address or phone number you used.
Deleting your data in AutoUncle CoDriver does not remove messages from your own phone or inbox, or anything the dealership keeps in its own systems. For those, contact the dealership.
How long it takes
We reply within one month of receiving your request. If we need more information to find your data, we ask.
